Govt keen to improve healthcare facilities: Altaf Bukhari

Srinagar: The Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today said that government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti, is keen to improve the healthcare facilities at possible nearest locations in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that government is ready to help those experienced doctors serving in different parts of world, who want to setup their health facilities here to improve health scenario in the state.
“If these doctors come up with quality health services at affordable prices, the government will become facilitators for their genuine cause,” Bukhari said.
The Minister was speaking while inaugurating ‘Wellspring Clinic’ at Rajbagh in Srinagar. Wellsprings Clinic is an IVF clinic, the branch of Wellspring Mother and Child Care Hospital – a unit of ISIS Medicare and Research Centre located in Bangalore.
On the occasion, Srinagar’s Centre Head, Adil Farooq said that the reason behind the establishment of this clinic is to provide some relief to the patients who had to visit different states of India to get the treatment which costs them a fortune.
“By opening this clinic here, patients can get the treatment by the renowned doctors at their doorstep,” he said adding “in the near future, we will come up with full fledged Mother and Child Care Hospital.”
It was informed that the leading Embryologists and Infertility specialists Dr Asha Latha Ganesh and Dr Bharthi Rajanna will be regularly visiting the clinic. Director Wellsprings Hospital, Dr Prasad B B and other members were also present on the occasion. (KNS)
