The District Magistrate, Ramban, has granted permission for bituminous works at various locations, including the critical stretch at Nachlana, following a request from NHAI.

As per the order, traffic will be suspended between Nashri and the Navyug Tunnel during the intervening nights of 12/13, 14/15, and 16/17 June 2026, from 2200 hrs to 0500 hrs each night.

To manage the suspension, no vehicles will be allowed to move after 1700 hrs from Udhampur towards Ramban, Banihal, and Srinagar. Similarly, movement will be stopped after 2000 hrs from Qazigund towards Banihal, Ramban, Udhampur, and Jammu.

Operators carrying fresh perishable goods and livestock have been advised to plan loading accordingly.

Travelers have been asked to contact Traffic Control Units in Jammu, Srinagar, Ramban, and Udhampur before starting their journey on NH-44 on June 13, 15, and 17 to avoid inconvenience. Contact numbers for the TCUs have been issued by traffic police.
