Emphasising the need for a modern and technology-driven prison management system, LG Sinha called for adopting appropriate technological interventions to enhance surveillance, improve transparency and ensure greater accountability and operational efficiency in prison administration.

He stressed that all concerned officers must ensure strict adherence to established security guidelines, maintain institutional discipline and strengthen administrative mechanisms to prevent any lapses in prison management.

The Lieutenant Governor also underscored the importance of maintaining a balanced approach towards prison administration, stating that alongside robust security arrangements, adequate attention must be given to the welfare, humane treatment and rehabilitation of inmates.

He called for providing appropriate opportunities for reformation and rehabilitation of prisoners in accordance with established rules and regulations, while ensuring discipline and a secure environment within correctional facilities.
