Jammu, May 12: Jammu Police on Tuesday arrested a wanted criminal involved in multiple cases and recovered contraband and illegal arms from his possession.

An official said that one Avneet Singh alias Nagi, was apprehended during a targeted operation.

“He was found in possession of approximately 266.35 grams of heroin-like substance, along with an illegal glock pistol and live ammunition,” he said.

He said that Singh is involved in as many as 17 FIRs registered across Jammu. “Further investigation is underway to trace the network and possible links associated with the accused,” he said. (KNO)
