Srinagar, April 13: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Monday extended warm greetings to the people on the joyous occasion of Baisakhi, highlighting the festival’s cultural and spiritual significance.

In his message, the Chief Minister said that Baisakhi marks the harvest season and symbolizes prosperity, hope and new beginnings. He noted that the festival reflects the rich cultural diversity and communal harmony of Jammu and Kashmir, where people of different faiths celebrate each other’s traditions with mutual respect and enthusiasm.

The Chief Minister emphasized that such occasions strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and reinforce the values of unity and inclusiveness in society.

He expressed hope that the festival would bring peace, happiness and prosperity to every household and prayed for the well-being of the farming community, whose hard work sustains the region’s economy.
