Traffic Police NHW tightens noose against use of pressure horns

Srinagar, Feb 12: Continuing its drive against violations, Traffic Police NHW launched a special drive against installation and use of pressure horn.

The drive was simultaneously started at Banihal, Ramban, Udhampur, Doda and Kishtwar. More than 600 vehicles were checked and 55 were booked for using pressure horn and a fine of Rs 5 lacs 50000 was imposed, a statement issued to INS reads.

Traffic Police requested all commercial private vehicles to refrain from installing and use of pressure horn and at the same time all types of vehicle owners are directed to remove any type of material on their side glasses, safety glasses and wind screen violators will be booked as per law.

People and HMV operators appreciated the drive launched by Traffic Police.

Sharing details about the drive SSP Traffic NHW Rohit Baskotra stated that vehicle operators were made aware a number of times to follow traffic rules and this special drive is launched to book violators who are still using pressure horn, which causes great inconvenience to general public, students and patients.

He stated that drive will continue in the coming days to yield desired results.
