Kargil, Jul 11: A soldier from Kashmir Valley died in a cylinder blast in the Kargil division of Ladakh this evening.

The soldier has been identified as Shahnawaz Aziz Bhat, a resident of Sahoo Sachin village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

One of the relatives of the deceased soldier told KNT that Shahnawaz was doing some maintenance work, when an Oxygen cylinder exploded, leading to his death in Kargil.

When contacted, PRO Leh, Lieutenant Colonel PS Sandhu confirmed the death of the soldier.
