Srinagar, Mar 16: The body of man, who had jumped into fhe river jhelum from Safakadal bridge last month, was retrieved on Saturday morning from Parimpora area of Srinagar outskirts.

Reports said that a man hailing from Eidgah area here had allegedly committed suicide by jumping into river jhelum from Safakadal bridge on February 29.

A rescue operation was subsequently launched and after 16 days, his body was retrieved from Jhelum in Parimpora today.

The body has been shifted to SMHS Hospital for medicolegal formalities and will be handed over to family.
