Jammu:Dr Koshal Sharma JKPS, Sr Supdt of Police, Traffic Police City Jammu today inaugurated the final match of tournament organized by traffic police city Jammu in the memory of Shaheed selection grade constable Keemat Lal Choudhary of J&K Police at Gho Manasa Jammu.

 

SSP Traffic who was the chief guest inaugurated the cricket tournament in presence of Sh Sunil Singh SDPO Domana, chairman of municipal committee sh Jatinder Singh, congress youth leader Sh Rajinder kumar, Sarpanch’s, Panch’s and other respectable citizens of the area.

 

SSP Traffic led the officers/officials and citizens in observing two minutes of silence in memory of Shaheed Keemat Lal Choudhary and other martyr’s of J&K Police.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP welcomed and thanked all the players of different teams participating in the tournament and citizens who came to witness the inaugural final match.

 

SSP said that this tournament provides an opportunity to pay tribute and homage to the brave officers and jawans of J&K Police. He said that Jammu and Kashmir Police is proud of their martyrs who while protecting people and the nation sacrificed their lives and illuminated the name of our force and country, and wrote their names in golden letters in our collective memory.

SSP while remembering the sacrifice of Martyr Sgct Keemat Lal said that in 2004 while fighting with terrorists in an encounter in Shopian the brave soldier laid down his life.
