Srinagar: Around 450 people from Jammu and Kashmir, who are stranded in Dubai due to COVID-19 lockdown, have urged the government to evacuate them by arranging special flights for them.
A number of callers from Dubai called INS and demanded the government to arrange the flights for their return to home.
“We have nowhere to go. There are elderly as well as some pregnant women among the people stranded in Dubai who needed to be evacuated immediately,” a group of people from J&K told INS over the phone and demanded arrangement of special flights for them.
“We are very much distressed here as businesses are shut and most of us have exhausted whatever saving we had,” they said and reiterated appeal to the government for their early evacuation.
