School timing in Srinagar Municipal limits back to 9 am to 3 pm, DSEK modifies order following public outrage

Srinagar: Following public outrage over Directorate of School Education Kashmir’s order of fixing school timing in Srinagar Muncipal limits from 8:30am to 2:30 pm, DSEK on Wednesday asked education institutions in Srinagar to continue with old timing.
An order issued here by the DSEK said that the school timing within the Municpal limits of Srinagar city shall continue to be from 9 am to 3 pm.
“The order shall be adhered to strictly by all concerned institutions,” order reads.
The change of timings to 8:30 am had genarated an outrage among people.
President Private School Association GN VAr told INS that the association held a detailed meeting with Director education Kashmir over the issue.
“It was in illogical order and devoid of any application of mind. It could not be implemented,” Var said.
Var said after their meeting with th Director Education they were ordered to continue with the old timing.
