Srinagar: Taders affiliated with the cross line of control business demanded revocation of government order that suspended the trade saying the routes are being used to smuggle in narcotics, money and weapons into valley.
Protesting traders assembled in Paratap Park and raised slogans against the government.

Haji mohammed shafi, general Secretary of LoC traders union said that families, drivers, labourers are dependent on this trade and have been badly hit with the decision.
“We immediately demand resumption of the trade which was suspended on 19th April by Home minstry of India.” Shafi said.
Union home minstry of India last week suspended the Cross LoC trade, saying that the route is being used by “unscrupulous and anti national elements” for sneaking hawala money ,drugs and weapons from Pakistan.
Protesting traders demanded immediate revocation of orders so that they have a sigh of relief.
