Locals said that the road connecting Jabad, Branwar and Meegu halqas comprising of at least 1500 households to a local Public Health Centre (PHC) is yet to be cleared of snow.

Talking to The INS a local, Mohammad Ashraf said, “A JCB was sent to clear the snow from roads but rather clearing snow the drivers only made their presence as a formality. At least 3 feet snow can be seen still on our roads.”

He added that despite, “Our elders asked drivers to clear snow from the roads but he did not listen.”

When contacted Assistant Executive Engineer, Roads and Buildings Chadoora Showkat Shah said, The JCB is still there in the area and has not moved out yet.

“We are clearing snow in 10 feet wide distance and now people are demanding clear the accumulated snow fallen from their rooftops which cannot be possible,” Shah said.
