Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) chairperson Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Monday said the people of Kashmir pay glowing tributes to Maqbool Bhat on his 35th hanging anniversary.

Mirwaiz, in a tweet, said that his courage and commitment in espousing the just cause of liberation of his people for which he sacrificed his life will always be remembered.

The JRL, of which Mirwaiz is a part, has called for a shutdown in Kashmir valley to mark the day.
