Anantnag: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat’s tehsil president Anantnag Ashiq Hussain Narchoor and former Mirwaiz south Kashmir Qazi Yasir have been booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) and shifted to jail in Jammu on Monday.
Reports said Ashiq Hussain, who was arrested last month, was booked under PSA and shifted to Hira Nagar Jammu jail.
Qazi Yasir, who was arrested after his house was raided on October 8 in Qazimohlla Anantnag and lodged at police station in Anantnag, was also booked under the PSA.
Qazi Yasir was arrested after he had called for Redwani Chalo on October 12 against the establishment of Army camps in South Kashmir.
Qazi’s obscene video went viral on social networking sites last week, following which Ummat-e-Islamia organization sacked him as Mirwaiz south Kashmir.
Qazi Yasirs family recently lodged a complaint against those “malign his image”.
