Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik  Friday  spoke to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath over the Sharda University incident  were students from Valley were beaten up yesterday.

According officials Malik urged Adityanath to ensure that the Kashmiri students are provided a safe and secure environment in the educational institutions of the State.

A Kashmiri student was beaten up after a fight broke out between groups of Indian and Afghanistan students at a private university in Greater Noida Thursday.

Officials claimed that at least  350 students, Indian and Afghans have been booked for rioting and related offences
