Budgam: Budgam police on Thursday claimed that they have arrested a youth involved in putting on fire the Panchayat Ghar at Kultreh village of Budgam’s Chadoora area.
On September 19 unknown persons had set a Panchayat Ghar on fire at Kultreh village.

SSP Budgam, Tejinder Singh told a presser here that the investigation was initiated by the police regarding the case and during investigation based on important clues and leads Muzaffar Ahmad Wani (20), S/O Ghulam Mohideen Wani, a resident of DoulatPora Chadoora was detained for questioning and who later admitted his role in the crime.

“He was on the spot  present there and he himself set Panchayat Ghar on fire. Police is probing to find out other culprits involved in the crime,” Singh said.
After Wani admitted  to his involvement in the case, during searchs of his house, police said, ‘some incriminating material including three empty magazines, Pouch and those clothes that wani was wearing at time of incident were recovered.’
