Kulgam: The Quimoh area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district remains shut for the sixth consecutive day as locals continue to demand the removal of recently established Army camp in Redwani area of the District.

Locals said all business establishments and educational institutes continued to remain shut in the area.
“Scores of women and men have gathered in the area shouting pro-freedom slogans to demand the removal of the Army camp,” local said.

A resident of Redwani said that the the camp has been established near the school which is locked since nine days now, due to the fear of Army camp.

Recently residents protested in Srinagar’s press enclave demanding government to intervene and remove the army camp in the area.

“We the residents dont want an army camp in the area, the government should listen to people and stop playing deaf and dumb,” they said.
