Jammu: Over 900 vehicles including passenger ones are stranded on Jammu-Srinagar highway, the
only road link connecting Kashmir with the rest of the world, which was closed on Saturday due to landslide in Ramban district triggered by overnight rains, officials said.
SSP traffic Shakti Kumar Pathak told INS that more than 900 vehicles were stranded on the thoroughfare and efforts were underway to restore it for traffic. “It may still take around five hours to clear the road,” he added.
The landslide occurred near the Block Development Office at Ramsoo in the wee hours, blocking the arterial road.
