Sopore  : A 45 year old power development department lineman was electrocuted to death in Sopore town here on north kashmir baramulla district on Saturday.
Deceased has been identified as Mohammad Ramzan Lone  (45) son of Ali Mohammad Lone residents of Nowpora Jageer was electroduced to death  when he received an electric shock while making repairs at a power line at Nursing home crossing Sopore .
He was rushed to local Sub_District Hospital Sopore  where doctors reffered him to Srinagar in critically condition. He later succumbed to injuries.
Casual labours staged massive protest outside PDD Sopore and chanted slogans like “we want justice” and we were demanding immediate action against PDD officer. Protesters demanded compensation for deceased.
Meanwhile AEE sopore told INS that it was negligence of officers which resulted to death of casual labour. He said an  action has been taken, soon culprit will behind bars .
Meanwhile sopore police have registered a case and further investigations taken up
