Kupwara: Two women’s from Trehgam were hospitalised after they were alleged teargased and thrashed by forces early morning.
Two women’s from Trehgam were injured after thrashed and teargased by police party within their vicinity during household work.
Several women were working and collecting water when a police party  fired shells and thrashed two ladies,” a local Mohammad Akbar Zargar said.
Villagers said that police party barged into locality and thrashes women and fires tear gas canisters on them, A relative of the victims, Mohammad Maqbool said.
Both the injured were identified as Showkeena bano  daughter of Mohammad Akbar Zargar and Aamina Bano daughter of Mohammad Maqbool Zargar, both resident of Trehgam zargar mohallah Trehgam.
Hospital authorities said both the injured are safe.
Parents of the injured alleged that, Personal security officer (PSO), Waseem Ahmad,  of SHO Trehgam caught hold of Aamina Bano, laid her to the ground and manhandled her.
Both the ladies fell uncounsious due to highhandedness of police.
“If forces will continuee to act as opresser, time is no far when all will pick up arms (Gun) against forces behaviour,” Mohammad Akbar father of one victim told.
They urged Governor to look into such daily happenings.
SP shri Ram Ambarkar said that he has no information of the incident but added that he will look into the matter.
