Rajouri: Police on Monday claimed to have rescued a kidnapped girl and has nabbed the accused kidnapper.

The matter was under investigation with Police Station Nowshera under case FIR NO. 51/2018 U/S 366/376 RPC ..

“After registering case on the basis of a formal complaint, a team comprising of I/C SHO Nowshera, Ashish Choudhary and I/C PP Lam, ASI Rehmat Shah working under the close supervision of SDPO Nowshera Khaliq Choudhary and Addl.SP Nowshera Master Popsi raided on several locations and recovered the kidnapped girl , a resident of Laroka Lam, and also arrested the accused wanted in case,” police said in a statement.

Accused has been identified as Gorav Choudhary S/O Vipin Kumar R/O Ward no. 03 Nowshera.
The Kidnapped girl has been recovered within a week’s time.

“After the completion of legal formalities, the girl has been handed over to her legal heirs whereas the accused is under questioning in local police station,” police said.
