Rajouri Adm conducts surprise inspection of Govt Schools

Rajouri December,6: District Administration Rajouri Wednesday deployed checking squads to conduct surprise inspection of Govt schools of zone Rajouri and Baljaralan of the District to take a stock of attendance of Teaching and Non teaching staff as per scheduled schools timings.

As many as 18 teams carried out surprise checking in equal number of government schools simultaneously including primary, and middle schools in the district.

The move has been taken in view of complaints of alleged non adherence of scheduled school timings by teaching staff in various schools of the town.

Besides, inspection of attendance records the checking squads took a round of various sections of the schools to ascertain the status of services being available student-teacher ratio, quality of education and learning outcomes.

During the checking, it was found that 19 teachers in schools were absent 10 reached late in the institutions , while 27 staff members including teachers, clerks had been found on leave and deputations.

The checking squads have also  seized the leave/deputation records from various schools to examine the competency of leave sanctioning authority and nature of deputation at this peak stage of academic session.

All the heads of all institutions have been reiterated to maintain upto date leave accounts of the employees on daily basis and ensure proper attendance records of their institutions.

Taking strong note of staff absenteeism and avoidable deputations of teaching staff in the schools, a spokesman of District Administration stated that stringent action shall be taken against the absentees and officials proceeding on leave without sanction of competent authority, besides against the heads of institutions where leave, and movement records are not properly maintained.

He added that no laxity would be allowed in maintenance of proper discipline and coordinated efforts will be undertaken to impart  quality education and improve learning outcomes in Schools.

The team of officers constituting checking squads included Mr R k Sharma AC Defence Rajouri , Mr Jugal kishore ARTO Rajouri, Mr Salam Din Tehsildar Rajouri, Dr Mehmood Medical Superintendent DH Rajouri, Dr Anees Deputy CMO, Mr Imran Mehmood DTO Rajouri, Dr Khabir DSWO, Mr Jabber Project Manager Industries Rajouri and other officers of District Administration.
