Sumbal: In continuation of its efforts to strengthen the police public relations and to bring people nearer to the police, a public meet was held at Police station Sumbal on Friday .

On the directions of SSP Bandipora  Shri.Sheikh Zulfikar Azad, a PCPG Meeting was held by Sheikh Tahir Amin SDPO, Mehboob Banday SHO Sumbal and Afaaq Ahmed DO Nowgam here .

The meet was participated by large numbers of prominent citizens  traders, Sarpanch , panchs and youth of the area.

The main objective of the meeting was to aware the general public about the recent incidents of Braid Chopping and seek cooperation for the investigation of Braid Chopping cases.

Speaking on the occasion, SDPO Sumbal  said that such meetings are conducted to solicit the suggestion and support for better policing and would be conducted in the future as well.

He asserted that all the cases pertaining to Braid Chopping are being investigated thoroughly and the truth will come out soon

Referring to the grievance highlighted by the participates, SDPO said that these grievances and suggestions will be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal and added that police will provide its legal support as and when required for the betterment of the society accordingly.

He also thanked the people for participating in the meeting and providing valuable suggestions.
