Govt committed to ensure early redress of people’s problems: Dy CM

SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh today said that the government is committed to ensure early redressal of the problems being faced by the people and the necessary mechanism has already been put in place.
The Deputy Chief Minister was speaking while interacting with several deputations which called on him here today.
Dr Singh while interacting with the Chief Executive Councilor (CEC) Kargil Mr Kacho Ahmad Ali said that the government has undertaken several historic measures for ensuring sustained development of this hilly district. He said that every care is being taken to ensure that the developmental programmes are completed within the stipulated timelines so that the people living there get benefitted.
While referring to the programmes being undertaken in the housing and urban development sector, the Deputy Chief Minister said that they would ensure that the area gets all the requisite facilities of the modern urban living. He said that Kargil town is also being undertaken under AMRUT scheme which would also ensure its sustained development.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that several new initiatives have been undertaken in the power sector which would ensure that the people of this hilly district are provided adequate supply of electric power. He said that new power projects are also being taken up in the area and the instructions have been passed to the concerned their timely completion.
A deputation of J&K Civil Secretariat Non Gazetted Employee Union led by its President Mr Gulam Rasool Mir also called on the Deputy Chief Minister and raised several issues related to the employees.
Dr Singh assured the deputation that the government is committed to maintain a healthy relationship with the employees, so that smooth functioning can be maintained in government offices. He further said that employee welfare has always been paramount for the government and efforts are periodically undertaken to ensure the same.
The Deputy Chief Minister further assured them that all their genuine grievances will be addressed at the earliest.
