Srinagar, Jul 25: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested 12 more persons in connection with the alleged paper leak scam related to the recruitment of Fire and Emergency Services in Jammu and Kashmir, sources said.

According to sources, the arrests were made during the investigation of FIR No. 01/2025, registered in connection with the recruitment examination paper leak. The accused were arrested on July 21, 2026.

The arrested persons have been identified as Abdul Majid Ganie of Yari Kalan, Chadoora (Budgam); Bilal Ahmad Halwai of Housing Colony, Bijbehara (Anantnag); Irshad-ul-Hamid Hakeem of Hajin, Sonawari (Bandipora); Shahnawaz Ahmad Khan of Asham, Sumbal, Sonawari (Bandipora); Ali Mohammad Bhat of Hayatpora, Chadoora (Budgam); Shabir Ahmad Malik of Hatharan, Soibugh (Budgam); Mohammad Akram Bhat of Dharmunna (Budgam); Mushtaq Ahmad Rathi of Gutlipora, Tangmarg; Sameer Ullah Rather of Chilyach, Chadoora (Budgam); Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat of Laribal, Kakapora (Pulwama); Zaker Hussain of Nowtass, Phagsoo (Doda); and Sanjay Datta of Jewel Chowk, Jammu.

Sources said the arrests form part of the ACB’s ongoing investigation into the recruitment scam. Further investigation is underway to identify the wider network and ascertain the role of all those allegedly involved.
