Governor congratulates SKUAST-J for emerging as a ranking Farm University

SRINAGAR: Governor N.N. Vohra, Chancellor of the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu, congratulated Prof. Pradeep K. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor and all his colleagues, for the University securing the 10th rank among the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) and 15th amongst all Agricultural Universities including SAUs, State Veterinary Universities and ICAR Institutes, in a ranking status prepared by ICAR for the year 2016-17.
Governor also complimented the VC and his colleagues for the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, R.S. Pura, being awarded with “Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Rashtriya Vigyan Protshahan Puraskar 2016-17” from among all KVKs in Zone 1 which comprises the States of J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand and Punjab.
Governor advised the Faculty, students and staff of the University to continue with their good work and vigorously endeavour to improve the Institution’s standing at the national and international levels.
