Srinagar: United Jihad Council (UJC) on Saturday extended Eid greetings to the Muslims especially the people of Kashmir.
In an e-mailed statement issued to KNS, UJC spokesman, Syed Sadaqat Hussain while quoting the outfit chief, Syed Salah-ud-din as extending Eid greetings to the people of Kashmir. “I extend Eid greetings to the mothers who sacrificed their sons, women who sacrificed their husbands and the prisoners including young old, women who are languishing in jails in Kashmir,” he said.
He said that “in the month of Ramadhan, people in Kashmir were harassed by the forces by crackdowns and thrashing. The people bore the brunt in this holiest month.”
“Kashmiris will celebrate their Eid when the Indian occupation will end there,” he said.
He also appealed people to remember families of martyrs, injured, orphans, and destitute on this Eid. (KNS)
