Farooq Shah Visits Many Villages In Tangmarg, Assures More Employment Avenues

Tangmarg: National Conference leader and former bureaucrat Farooq Ahmad Shah chaired a booth level workers meeting of the party for Tangmarg block on Thursday.
Nearly three hundred booth level workers of the party participated in the meeting.
Later Shah visited more than a dozen villages of the assembly constituency including Turke Bata pora , Sikhkanhama, Wahigund, Kharnipora, Khanzpora, Pethwahigund, Tantraypora, Haipora, Ichloo, Hardichloo, Devdragar and Hardmadam and held interactions with the locals including men, women, and youth.
The locals apprised the NC leader about the problems confronting them in these areas. Shah assured them that the area would be developed in coming times and a special care would be taken of the livelihood and education of youth. He said handicrafts would be explored in the belt and local artisans would be encouraged to establish small handicraft units so that not only employment is generated but also the economy of the area gets a boost. Shah said that skill development institute would be established where local youth would be trained in different traits, besides the youth would be attracted to tourism related activities and courses, enabling them to get opportunities in the sector.
He said various other options would be explored to encourage local boys and girls to attain skills and job oriented courses for their prosperity.
He also assured them that roads, electricity and other basic facilities would also be looked at. He said that development would remain his top priority. The National Conference leader appealed locals to provide quality education to their children so that they excel in various fields and help the area to progress and prosper.
