Srinagar: Indian National Congress (INC) on Thursday clarified that the party didn’t promise to repeal Armed forces Special Power Act (APSPA) but promised to review it.

About the restriction on civilian movement on Sundays and Wednesdays on highway in view of forces convoy, Afzal said that it is good that steps are being taken fop rte well being of forces but at the same time civilians must not be ignored.

Afzal however didn’t clear the party’s position regarding deputing three interlocutors to Kashmir.

Asked whether the report of new interlocutors will be thrown into the dustbin again as happened in the past, Afzal said that party is concerned about the prevalent situation in Kashmir that was created since last five years, saying that the facts about Kashmir are not being portrayed in well manner.

He said that there is not correct reflection of Kashmir in rest of the country as it is being used as a tool to spread hatred.
