Srinagar, December 18: Police on Monday recovered ‘kidnapped girl’ of Budgam from Banihal Railway station and arrested the accused.

Police said that they had received a complaint from a resident of Budgam that his daughter has been kidnapped, accusing  ‘Gazanfer Ali Rather son of Ghulam Rasool Rather resident of Ichgam’.

Accordingly, a case under section 363 RPC was registered in Police Station Budgam and investigation was started.

 “Budgam police got important clues that led to tracing of accused person along with the kidnapped girl at Banihal railway station within 24 hours. The girl was recovered and the accused involved was arrested. After completion of legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her parents,”  police said.
