147 Kanals of Forest land retrieved

NOWSHERA, NOVEMBER 16: In a major achievement, the Forest department has retrieved 147 Kanal of Forest land from encroachers in Treru Block, Lamberi Range of Nowshera Forest Division besides dismantling two structures on the spot.

A team comprising Range Officer, Lamberi and Assistant Director Forest Protection Force today performed this task under an operation which was coordinated at circle level by the Conservator of Forests, West Circle, Rajouri.

 DFO Nowshera has ordered fencing of retrieved area immediately to prevent from any further encroachment.

Pertinently, the action has been taken in response to a complaint number JP-30/2017 lodged by Dil Mohd S/o Sain R/o Harichuma Tehsil Teryath District Rajouri before the J&K Accountability Commission.

The Forest land was under encroachment of Shera S/o Azeem, Abdul Gafoor S/o Imam Din, Balwant Raj S/o Sarnu, Mania S/o Shibbu, Mohd Bashir s/o Imam, Dil Mohd S/o Sain and Lal Hussian S/o Faqar Din  from time to time since 1971-72 Jambandhi under Kahsra No. 1115 in village Harichuma Tehsil teryath, Rajouri.
