Twenty hour long anti militancy operation to flush out militants by government forces in Lam forests of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district has been called off.

7 officers transferred

According to officials the CASO was launched in Lam forests last night after information that militants are hiding in the area.

The operation was conducted through the night and ended today.

Officials claimed that during the operation a hideout of Jaish-e-Muhammad militant outfit was busted.

Police had earlier said that an encounter had erupted in Lam area today morning.
