The action was taken under Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act following an inquiry conducted by Police Station Pampore under the supervision of senior officers.

According to police, the attached property belongs to Manzoor Mir, also known as Mann Tiger, a resident of Kadlabal, Pampore. Investigators alleged that the house had been acquired through income generated from the illegal trade of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

The attachment forms part of a broader strategy increasingly being employed by law enforcement agencies to target assets suspected to have been created through proceeds of crime, particularly in narcotics-related cases.

Police said the accused is involved in multiple cases registered under narcotics laws and that the financial investigation led authorities to conclude that the property was linked to alleged drug trafficking activities.

The attachment order prohibits the sale, transfer or disposal of the property without the permission of the competent authority.
