Srinagar, Feb 6: Several residencial houses were gutted on Friday early morning, after massive fire erupted in Syedpora Nowhatta area of Srinagar.

An official said that several houses have been damaged in the blaze. Fire and Emergency Services and police personnel are on the spot and managed to bring the fire under control.

He said cooling operations are currently in progress to avoid any further spread, while assessment of the damaged houses is underway to determine the extent of losses. (KNC)
