On CM’s direction, Sakina Itoo visits Kadipora fire victims

Anantnag, Mar 21: Cabinet Minister Sakina Masood Itoo visited the fire victims of Kadipora, Anantnag, and assured them of full government support.

Speaking to the victims, Sakina Masood Itoo as per JKNS said, “We have been sent by CM Omar Abdullah himself, and all possible help from the government will be provided.” She also assured that a meeting will soon be held with the district administration to chalk out a concrete relief plan.

Sakina Masood Itoo was Accompanied by NC leaders Altaf Kaloo and Majeed Larmi.

It is important to mention that more than a dozen residential houses were damaged in a massive fire that broke out this afternoon in Kadipora. Houses belonging to Manzoor Ahmad Reshi, Zahoor Ahmad Reshi, Farooq Ahmad Reshi, Muzaffar Ahmad Sheikh, Sonaullah Shaksaaz, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, Mohammad Akbar Bhat, Khan, and others were engulfed in flames.

Fire and Emergency Services teams, along with locals and Anantnag Police, worked tirelessly to control the fire, but it caused extensive property damage before being brought under control.

Locals have appealed for urgent relief and assistance, while authorities have launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of the blaze.
