Revised rate of DA to employees, pensioners: 5% from July 2017, 7% from Jan this year

Srinagar: The state government has notified revisited rates of Dearness Allowance on revised pay to state government employees and pensioners.

As per as order issued here, from 1 January 2016, no dearness allowance will be paid and it would be 2% of basic pay from 1 July 2016, 4% from 1 January 2017, 5% from 1 July 2017 and 7% of the basic pay from 1 January this year.

“These rates are notified for drawal of arrears of Pay for the period w.e.f 1 January 2016 to 31 March 2018 and drawal of pension w.e.f 1 April 2018,” reads the order.

The mode of payment of arrears for the period 1 January 2016 to 31 March 2018 shall be regulated as per Government Order No 220-F of 2018 dated 24.04.2018.

All other terms and conditions for payment of DA notified from time to time shall apply mutatis mutandis, the order added.
