Save Sharda Committee thanks CM for granting Yatri Niwas at Sharda Temple LoC Teetwal

Srinagar, Mar 15: Save Sharda Committee Kashmir Regd has thanked Chief minister Omar Abdullah for announcing in assembly construction of Yatri Niwas at Sharda Temple Teetwal.

Chief minister has announced a Cafeteria as well in reply to a question raised by Javed Mirchal MLA Karnah. Omar Abdullah hs also laid emphasis on home stays for promotion of Border tourism in the Karnah region.

In a statement issued to INS, Head & Founder of Save Sharda Committee kashmir Regd has expressed satisfaction on the announcement but as raise apprehensions about the sanctity of yatri niwas.

“The committee demands that once the yatri niwas is completed, it should be handedover to our committee to manage & run it,” said Ravinder Pandita.

He said that temple & Sikh gurudwara has been constructed by Save Sharda Committee and is being run also by the said committee and a local Ajaz Ahmad as Co-ordinator.

“Tourism Department should provide funds to locals for renovation & upgradation of home stays for visitors. Last year more than 10000 pilgrims/tourists visited Sharda Temple at Teetwal and there is a growing need for home stays and a yatri niwas there. At present there are about 31 home satys identified for visitors from Bag Bella to Teetwal, said Ravinder Pandita.
