Jammu, Mar 15: Fortis Hospital, Gurugram, inner wheel clubs and rotary club stars, Jammu celebrated World Kidney Day by honoring five exceptional dialysis technicians for their unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions to patient care.

The felicitation ceremony was held to recognize their efforts in ensuring the well-being of patients with kidney-related ailments.

The event, attended by different hospital staff, and guests, aimed to emphasize the importance of kidney health and acknowledge the vital role played by dialysis technicians in the healthcare system.

This year’s World Kidney Day theme, “Are Your Kidneys OK? – Detect early, protect kidney health’’ focused on raising awareness about kidney disease prevention and the significance of early detection.

The five distinguished honorees included: Mohd. Saleem Choudhary. Experience 8yrs Hospital: Dr KD Multi-Speciality Hospital Jammu, Joyal Masih Experience 14yrs Hospital: Raksha Kidney Centre, .Sajid Hussain Wani Experience 9yrs Hospital: Pulse Hospital Channi, Jammu, Vikas Singh Experience 10yrs Hospital: AK Gupta hospital Kathua , Nazia Bano Experience 5yrs Hospital: Nephro Plus JK Medicity.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Gagandeep Chhabra, Director and Unit Head Nephrology and Renal Transplantation at Fortis Hospital, Gurugram stated, “Dialysis technicians play a critical role in the management and treatment of patients with kidney diseases. Their dedication ensures that life-saving dialysis treatments are delivered with precision and care. We are honoured to celebrate their contributions on this special occasion.”

The event also featured awareness sessions on kidney health, preventive measures, and lifestyle choices that can help reduce the risk of kidney diseases.
