Srinagar: Unidentified persons have carried out a burglary in the house of a Covid-19 patient in the Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday.
Reports said that the burglars struck at the house last night at the Saderkoot Bala area in Hajin Bandipora. The house has been abandoned as all members have been put in quarantine and concertina wire has been placed around it to prevent the entry of people so as to prevent the spread of the coronavrious, they said.
Police said an FIR (53/2020) under IPC sections of 457 (lurking house-trespass or house-breaking by night) and 380 (Theft in dwelling house) has been registered and investigation taken up.
Meanwhile, a team of police and forensic experts have reached the spot and are collecting evidence including the fingerprints, they added.
