Ramban, Jan 10: Two persons died after iron-laden truck fell into a gorge on the National Highway near Battery Chasma late Thursday night.

Officials told JKNS that a rescue operation was launched immediately after the accident, and the bodies were recovered on Friday morning.

The identification of the deceased is being ascertained. The truck, bearing registration number JK04E-9110, was loaded with iron.

Further, cognizance of the incident has been taken up, investigation on the cause of the accident started, he said.
