Poonch, March 20: Body of a 35-year-old driver was found in Surankote area of Poonch district overnight, officials said on Saturday.

They said that the locals of Draba Qureshi Mohalla spotted the body on road during the intervening night of March 19 and 20. Accordingly they informed the police station Surankote. Later a police party rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

After preliminary investigation, they said, the person was identified as Bashrat Khan, driver by profession, son of Lal Khan of Drogian sector Buffliaz . The body has been shifted by police to SDH Surankote for postmortem.

Officiating SHO Surankote Mohammad Rashid confirmed the recovery of the body. He said Police have lodged an FIR and further Investigations are going on.
