Srinagar, Oct 08: The alliance between National Conference (NC) and Indian National Congress (INC) is inching towards a clean sweep in Srinagar—the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir where the candidates from the twin parties are about to emerge victorious—leading from all the constituencies.

As per KNO, NC candidates from Srinagar’s seven assembly segments—Khanyar, Habba Kadal, Zadibal, Hazratbal, Lal Chowk, Eidgah and Chanapora are about to clinch victory while INC’s J&K unit president Tariq Hameed Karra is leading from eighth seat—Central-Shalteng.

With all the eight seats perchance in the kitty of NC-Congress, Srinagar has sided with the alliance partners in tis assembly elections.

The assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir were held after the gap of ten years while the Union Territory was without an elected government for the past six years.

The counting of votes took place at SKICC here, which began at 08:00 AM.

The father-son duo, Ali Muhammad Sagar and Salman Sagar have a lead of over 9000 votes in Khanyar and Hazratbal segments.
