A premenopausal, multiparous lady with hypothyroidism came to our facility with some complaints. Upon evaluation she was diagnosed with recurrent tumor of Submandibular Gland with Lung Metastasis. She underwent Microwave Ablation of Lung Metastasis.

It was the first Microwave Ablation of Lung Metastasis done in Jammu & Kashmir performed by our team of expert doctors- Dr. Irshad Ahmad Banday, Intervention Radiologist with support of experienced team of oncologists Dr. Sheikh Zahoor Ahmad, Dr.Saqib Zaffar Banday, Dr. Zahid Hussain Mir, anaesthesiology and Radiology team. The doctors ablated 3 lung lesions in single session, with no complication and was discharged after single day stay in hospital.

The entire oncology team are consisting of highly experienced specialists who has successfully performed Whipples surgery, 50+ Ca Thyroid surgeries along with many complex onco-surgeries here such as Gastrectomy, Ca prostate, Transthoracic Esophagectomy and various treatment for cancer at Paras Hospitals, Srinagar.
