Srinagar, Aug 17 : Body of a woman, who had jumped into river Jhelum on Friday, was retrieved this morning, an official said.

The official told news agency that a rescue operation was launched by SDRF Baramulla at Drangbal after a woman (name withheld) from Shalkote Rafiabad jumped into the river yesterday.

“After many hours of strenuous efforts the body was retrieved today,” the official said.

“The body has been handed over to the family for last rites,” added the official.
