Tral : Residents of Mandoora locality of Tral in South Kashmir are aghast over the lackadaisical approach of authorities as dangling low-tension electricity wires pose threat to lives and have not been repaired despite repeated appeals to authorities.
Locals said that a woman was electrocuted and injured few days back after the dilapidated wire fell down in the lawn of Ab. Gani Bhat, but since then line was not repaired’
“She was shifted to SDH Tral immediately, and had survived with the help of locals,” Ab Gani told INS, adding that wire is still hanging posing threat to lives.
“Power development department (PDD) for failing to restore the electrcity line in Bhat Mohalla of the area, despite back to back requests,” they said.
Concerned Engineer PDD Tral, Harminder Singh, said that, a team has been deputed to the area and the line will be repaired today.
