No significant weather activity till Mar 10: Weatherman

Srinagar, Mar 05: The weatherman on Tuesday predicted light rains and snow at scattered places on March 6, saying that there is no forecast of any significant weather activity till March 10.

“No Significant weather activity till 10th March with possibility of light Rain/Snow at scattered places during night of 6th March to 7th March,” Director Meteorological department, Mukhtar Ahmad said.

He said that from March 12-14, light to moderate rain and snow is expexted at most places.

Meanwhile, as per the advisory, in view of heavy to very heavy snowfall over few middle & Higher reaches, travellers and tourists are advised to plan accordingly & follow admin and Traffic police advisory.

General public over hilly areas are advised not to venture in Avalanche prone areas & slopy areas. Follow avalanche warnings & advisories, he said.

Farmers are advised to resume farm operations, the advisory reads.
