JKPL: Waseem Kachru’s blistering 50 helps Sultan Warriors Bla beat Kashmir University

Srinagar, Sep 19: In the opening encounter, Kashmir University won the toss and decided to bat first against Sultan Warriors Baramulla.

The Kashmir University team posted a competitive total of 136 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Sareer Ayoub was the standout performer, contributing a blistering 50 runs off just 30 balls. Azim Rather was Sultan Warriors’ star with the ball, claiming two crucial wickets.

Sultan Warriors, in a remarkable display of batting prowess, chased down the target of 136 runs in just 11.2 overs.

Waseem Kachuru emerged as the hero of the innings, smashing 50 runs off a mere 22 balls. The victory showcased the team’s determination and exceptional skills.

In the second match of the JKPL, Elegant Strikers faced off against BTC in a high-scoring encounter. Elegant Strikers posted an imposing total of 191 runs in their allotted 20 overs, with Shahid leading the way with a brilliant 48 runs off 26 balls.

However, BTC didn’t back down, putting up a valiant fight and scoring 179 runs in their 20 overs. Despite falling just 12 runs short of the target, their spirited performance was lauded by the crowd.

The Jammu Kashmir Premiere League promises to deliver more thrilling cricket action throughout the season, showcasing the talent and competitive spirit of the region’s cricketing talent.
