Accompanied by Dean of Academic Affairs Prof F A Masoodi, the VC first visited the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports (DPES), where she listened to various concerns of the M.PEd students. She instructed immediate conduct of additional remedial classes for the students to make up for the academic time, alongside directing for making the DPES more vibrant with sports activities involving students from teaching departments from all campuses, as well as the affiliated colleges.

Thereafter, the VC visited the departments of Law, Islamic Studies, Psychology, Centre for Women’s Studies and Research, besides the Institute of Kashmir Studies (IKS). The VC interacted with faculty and students and reiterated directions for timely conduct of classes and examinations for timely award of degrees to the students and research scholars without fail.

The VC said that directions have time and again been passed for strict adherence to the already-notified academic calendar and any deviations in this endeavour will be viewed seriously.

Later, the Vice-Chancellor also inspected the examination centre for PG entrance at the Humanities Block and took stock of arrangements being made for the examinees.
Director Admissions Prof Farooq A Mir was also present on the occasion.

Saying that the University’s entrance examination is regarded as a benchmark of transparency, the VC said the University is ever-determined to continue with this legacy with more technological interventions in future. She also conveyed her best wishes to the examinees.
