Srinagar, Oct 5: Four Jash-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militants were killed in two separate encounters with joint team of police and army in Shopian district since overnight, officials said on Wednesday.

They said three local militants were killed at Drach Shopian and according to police, two of them have been identified as Hanan Bin Yaqoob and Jamshed. “They were involved in recent killing of SPO Javed Dar on October 2 at Pinglana in Pulwama and an outside labourer from West Bengal on September 24 in Pulwama,” Police quoted ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar as saying in a tweet.

Meanwhile one local militant of LeT was in a gunfight in Moolu Shopian. “Operation is going on. Further details shall follow,” police added.
